The PAL Program

November 22, 2011 at 18:18

The Peer Accessible Learning (PAL) program at Hilltop Learning Center has been designed to promote interaction between typically developing peers and students with identified areas of disabilities, ages 4-5, in an early childhood education setting.  Peers without identified needs are important models for language skills, social skills, and play skills.  Applications are currently being accepted for peers to participate in either the morning or afternoon preschool sessions.  Children ranging from four through five years of age are invited to apply to be a PAL.  Please contact Mrs. Carletha Yarrell, 259-5458, ext. 43011, for an application or additional information.

“Being a PAL was a valuable experience for my daughter.  She learned so much from the other children.  We loved the staff and everything about the program.  I wish I would have known about it for all of my children!”
